Here's an update on Glenn Strohl's obituary information:
With full a heart and deep sadness, I share my amazing husband, Glenn Strohl. Glenn was a devoted husband of 52 years, a proud father and grandfather, a loyal friend, and a true original. He and I enjoyed a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure… starting over in new cities... raising three incredible kids and welcoming seven grandchildren.
Along the way, we built a full life that eventually led us to our happy place at Heritage Ranch in Fairview, TX. Glenn spent his career in the flooring industry, known for his high expectations and even bigger heart. He pushed people to grow, believed in their potential, and stayed active in his field well into his 70s.
Outside of work, Glenn lived joyfully. He loved music (and wasn’t shy about singing out loud), savored his restaurant picks with foodie apps, and lit up every game night - especially when he was winning. He brought his competitive spirit and passion to both the golf course and pickleball court, where he found both joy and community.
In recent years, Glenn lived in fighter mode. Even when things were hard, he never gave up. His unforgettable smile, his one-of-a-kind wit, his love for family and friends – remained his trademark throughout his final days. A memorial pickleball tournament is being planned in Glenn’s honor. And, per his wishes, his ashes will return to Hawaii - a final “cruise” with music playing and the top down, if only in spirit.
Our amazing family will represent his legacy well: son Jason (Courtney) and children Makoa and Ollie; daughter Alison Holen (Andrew) and children Alexa and Olivia; son David (Austin) and children Clementine; Croix and Calum; and his sister Jody Boak. He leaves behind a life well-lived and a community forever grateful for the time shared with him. He will be deeply missed and joyfully remembered. “Here Comes the Sun”.
